FINAL 20 17

FIRST QUARTER:
 GEORGIA STRIKES FIRST

Georgia opened the scoring with a 43-yard field goal by Peyton Woodring.

The Bulldogs' defense also made an early statement when defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye sacked Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell and forced a fumble. Georgia recovered.

Georgia led 3–0 after the first quarter.

SECOND QUARTER:
ALABAMA TAKES CONTROL

Georgia extended its lead to 10–0 when quarterback Gunner Stockton connected with London Humphreys for a 20-yard touchdown pass.

Alabama responded with a 22-yard touchdown pass from Keelon Russell to Marshall Pritchett, cutting the deficit to 10–7.

Then Alabama linebacker Bray Hubbard intercepted Stockton, giving the Crimson Tide another opportunity.

Alabama capitalized by driving 80 yards in the final 1:42 of the half. Running back EJ Crowell scored on a one-yard touchdown run as time expired.

Alabama suddenly led 14–10 at halftime. It was the first time Georgia had trailed all season.

THIRD QUARTER:
GEORGIA STRIKES BACK

Georgia came out aggressively after halftime.

Stockton capped an eight-play, 75-yard drive with a 14-yard touchdown run, putting Georgia back in front 17–14.

Alabama answered with a 39-yard field goal by Conor Talty, tying the game at 17–17.

Both defenses continued to make things difficult, setting up a tense fourth quarter.

FOURTH QUARTER:
THE WINNING FIELD GOAL

With the game tied, Georgia put together a crucial drive late in the fourth quarter.

Running back Dwight Phillips Jr. broke off a 22-yard run, and Bo Walker added a 37-yard run to move Georgia deep into Alabama territory.

Georgia couldn't reach the end zone, but it got close enough for Woodring to attempt a 23-yard field goal.

He made it!

Georgia led 20–17 with 5:25 remaining.

Alabama still had time to respond, but Georgia's defense forced the Crimson Tide to punt on its next possession.

Georgia then held on to the ball and benefited from a 15-yard personal-foul penalty against Alabama as the Bulldogs closed out the victory.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT
