11/4/13 MY GRCH EAGLES def FOREST HILLS 2 ADVANCE (HS FOOTBALL) (I'm an '85 eagle. I played under the late Coach Bill "Moose" Holwerda et al . We had a better-than-average team but lost a few close ones. Had a lot of great teammates incl. the late Paul Laninga,the late Richard Byle,& the late Kurt Jelsema,among others (they would be about 46 years old...too young to be gone already) .Anyways, GO EAGLES! GRAND RAPIDS...
The Eagles defeated FHN 14-13 to
advance.
The Eagles, trailing 13-0 in the third
quarter, scored a touchdown in the third
and added the game winner with 7:52 to
go in the fourth to go up 14-13, and
Christian's defense did the rest in the
playoff opener voted the Grand Rapids
Game of the Week.
That means the Eagles will advance to
round two. Zeeland West will host the
Eagles on Friday...."
