you hear the 'basement' used as imagery in a lot of articles especially about so-called Millenials adult kids living in their parents basement....some of it is self-serving narration by these white privileged people or are angry at the others. I don't think there's actually that many people living in their parents basement . in fact out here in California most houses don't even have basements it's a false image in most cases
